Thought it was time for an update as I kind of forgot about this blog for awhile! Truth is, I fell behind on my wrinkle cream research when I started to realize that many of them are crap! I'm a bit disillusioned by the skin care industry in general right now and I've just been using a basic moisturizer and skin care routine.
One of the best things I've done anti-aging wise is start following a healthy diet, especially the tips from Kimberly Snyder. I bought her first book and I've been drinking the glowing green smoothies for several months now and I'm really feeling the benefit. It's worth taking a look at the glowing lean system program too, I'm going to sign up to it soon and I'll share my progress with you guys. Actually there's a good review of it here, which basically tells you what the program consists of.
Anyway, that's about it for now, sorry for the lack of updates! I promise I'll be posting more often very shortly

So it's almost been 30 days now and I've been using my new moisturizer as well as my new day cream (easily one of the best I've used in awhile) and it's been working well together, I'm really pleased with the results! My skin feels much softer and smoother, and it's better hydrated so I find that I'm having to use primer less and just foundation alone applies nicely without drying into those wrinkles and lines. It is quite expensive, bu if I can continue to afford it I have to say that I think it is worth it.
Also I find that I don't have to use as much of the product as they suggest, I can just put it on the worst of the lines and it's doing a great job, so just as a spot appliation product it's working well.

Okay so my orders have all arrived finally!! I've been using it for about 2 days now and so far I'm liking it, but I'll be posting my overall review after my 30 day trial period so I have more of an accurate assessment on the results, and how it works over a longer time perod
Also, just as an aside, I've been using a new moisturizer lately after spending so many dollars on various brands and this one is much cheaper, but I can barely tell the difference! The product I've been using is made by a company called Simple, and I'll be using it in combination with the cleanser and weekly exfoliation serum I've been using and it's going well, so I'm going to post my full new skin care routine shortly.

I'm going to be reviewing a new product soon! I've just finished placing my order so I expect it to arrive within the next few days or so with any luck.
The product I'm trying is called 'Xtend Life active day cream' and it's recommended by Pure Rita, and I agree with a lot of the things she says so I thought I'd give her top recommendation a try. In fact her website was where I first saw this one mentioned.
It seems promising and I like that it's an allinone cream, because it's really such a pain when you have to deal with night creams, day creams, moisturizers, sun screens etc etc. I like that it includes everything in one bottle, but of course it only really matters if it works! So as soon as my product arrives I'll take a picture and upload it here, then about 30 days later I'll do the same thing again and show the results
Something else I'm going to talk about here is my experience with nutrition and skin care too. I'm a firm believer that what you eat can effect your skin, and it's something I've experienced several times. So I'm going to investigate some things you can do to naturally reduce wrinkles. I don't think it can make a huge difference like cosmetic surgery, obviously. But getting enough fruit and vegetables, drinking enough water, and generally eating healthy does make a difference in my opinion. Even though it can be difficult to stick with at times!
Cutting out sugar is a biggie as well. I read this interesting article on prevention.com about how sugar ages your skin, but luckily it seems that sugar-damaged skin can be repaired by certain wrinkle creams, mostly when they use retinol in the formula. So fingers crossed.
Thanks for reading, I will post another update soon!

So I've been lucky enough to try a few popular wirnkle creams over the last month or two, so I decided to write a quick post to share my experiences with them.
The first one I tried was the Olay Regenerist one, after seeing it for sale on Amazon. It has really good reviews so I was quite excited to try it, but to be honest it hasn't worked very well for me. I find it doesn't moisturize my skin very well, it seems to leave it quite dry so I have to apply even more of the product than I'd like to. It means I will get through the supply very quickly if I was using this as a regular day cream!
The next one I've tried is the roc retinol night cream. I actually quite like this one. It has retinol in it which is supposed to be good, and it has a nice smell to it which I enjoy. It's also quite affordable, especially when you compare it to any of the other retinol based products I've seen. Maybe there isn't much retinol in the actual formula or something, but I don't really mind to be honest because it leaves my skin feeling wonderful when I wake up in the morning.
These products are pretty cheap though, so it will be interesting to see what results I get with some of the more expensive ones out there. I actually hae an order in for something that's considerably more expensive (eek!) but I've read good things about it so I'll let you know more when I've tried it. Hopefully my next post will be a review of it!

Hi there, welcome to my new blog!
As a woman in her late thirties, I've had a growing interest in wrinkle creams lately. After a life long obsession with makeup and skin care products, my skin is still in good condition, but I do still have a few wrinkles which I'd like to reduce, if at all possible.
While I'm not yet at the stage where I would seriously consider botox injections, it's still fun to try some of the wrinkle that are out there, so I thought I could start a little blog and share some of my thoughts on what I've tried so far.
Anyway, if you've read this far, thanks for reading!
